Hybrid Schedule
We are excited to welcome you to Connect Academy, where we are learner-centered and future-focused. Each learning day will begin via Zoom with Connect Time for our learners, peers, and educators at 8:30 a.m. Our learning will be a balance of direct instruction via Zoom, hands-on tasks, collaborative tasks, adaptive learning programs, and more!
Because we are an independent study program, there is flexibility around the time our students are on Zoom and completing student-driven assignments. We are creating a program where students will have voice and choice over how they demonstrate their knowledge around the California content standards. Our learning program will be adhering to the Poway Unified School District student calendar as well as utilizing the Poway Unified School District adopted curriculum. More information will be forthcoming as we learn about your student's strengths, interests, and passions.
We are keeping in mind that as we build our independent study program, we want to continue to offer peer relationships and social-emotional development, as well as ensure academic progress.
